Terms

Aethermoor is an invite-only pre-alpha, made by one person. These terms are short because the project is small and the promises should match it.

Last updated 3 August 2026.

What this is

Unfinished software, offered as-is, for testing. It may be broken, unavailable, or changed without notice. Accounts, characters and progress may be reset or deleted at any time, and the whole thing may stop. Nothing here is a promise that it will keep running or that anything in it will be preserved.

Your account

Use a real email address you control — it is how you sign in, reset your password and receive invites. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.

Invite codes are for you. Selling them, or handing them out publicly, will get the code and the account revoked.

Behaviour

Be civil. No harassment, threats, hate, spam, or anything illegal. Do not post other people's private information. Do not attack the service or attempt to reach parts of it that are not yours.

Moderation is hands-on and human. Comments may be removed, display names reset, profile pictures cleared, and accounts suspended for a period or permanently. For anything short of an obvious attack, you will be told what happened.

What you post

Your comments stay yours. By posting, you allow them to be displayed here as part of the conversation. If you delete your account, comments remain but stop being linked to you — see the privacy page for exactly what that means and why.

The game and the site

Everything else — the client, the artwork, the writing, the name — belongs to its makers. Testing access is not a licence to copy, redistribute, or reuse it.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like, from your account page. Access may be withdrawn if these terms are broken, or simply because the test ends.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. It is a pre-alpha test of unfinished software and should not be relied on for anything.

Contact

Questions, complaints, or anything about your account: [email protected].

Changes

These may change as the project does. Material changes will be said out loud in the dev log, not slipped in.
